Understanding someone does not mean agreeing with them.
Understanding someone does not mean agreeing with them. You can hear their reasons, acknowledge their feelings, and still keep your own view. A conversation changes when you stop preparing your reply and begin listening for what the other person truly means. Disagreement does not need to become a battle. You do not have to reach the same conclusion. Sometimes the greatest respect is saying, “I see it differently, but I understand why this matters to you.”
