Sometimes we believe that thinking longer means preparing better. In reality, replaying the same scenarios a hundred times is often an attempt to control fear. Preparation produces a next step: gathering information, asking a question, making a plan, or running a small experiment. Overthinking repeats the same questions without new evidence or action.
