Rest matters, but if you live the entire week only to reach the weekend, the problem may be more than fatigue. When daily life feels continuously unbearable, a vacation becomes an escape rather than recovery. Life will not always be pleasant, and work can be difficult. But you can gradually build days that include movement, meaningful connection, purpose, and small moments of enjoyment. Do not wait for one major trip each year to feel alive. Ask what small change could make an ordinary Tuesday more human. Most of life is made of ordinary days.
