Remaining silent is not always maturity.
Remaining silent is not always maturity. Sometimes it is simply a way to avoid a difficult conversation. Outer calm may protect the moment, but the unresolved problem continues growing underneath. Later it appears as coldness, distance, or an unexpected explosion. Real calm can address a problem without humiliation or unnecessary noise. It does not run from discomfort; it preserves respect within it. Peace is not the absence of problems. It is the ability to face them without destroying one another.
