When people constantly call you for help, it is easy to interpret their dependence as love.

When people constantly call you for help, it is easy to interpret their dependence as love. But being needed and being loved are not the same; sometimes people value only what you do for them. A real connection is curious about you, not only your solutions. It asks how you are, remembers your needs, and does not disappear the moment you have nothing left to give. Do not build your worth entirely around being useful. You deserve relationships in which your presence matters even when you are not providing a service.
