Sometimes we hide a need and wait for a loved one to guess it.

Sometimes we hide a need and wait for a loved one to guess it. When they do not, we treat it as proof that they do not care. Love is not mind-reading. Say clearly, “I need you to listen today,” or “I would like you beside me.” A direct request protects a relationship from unnecessary tests. Give the other person a chance to love your real needs instead of asking them to solve a puzzle they may never understand.
