When a difficult season lasts too long, you may begin to confuse it with your identity. Instead of saying, “I am struggling,” you start believing, “I am the failure.” This chapter is not your whole story. You are a person who is tired, grieving, or learning how to live again. Your circumstances can change; your worth has not disappeared. Do not name yourself after the pain you are passing through. A difficult season is not your permanent address; it is a road, and roads continue.
