A meaningful thought

A thought can sound completely convincing and still be untrue. “I will definitely fail,” “everyone is judging me,” or “nothing will ever change” often comes from fear, exhaustion, or old pain rather than evidence. The appearance of a thought does not require you to believe it. Pause and ask: What facts support this? Is there another explanation? Would I say the same thing to someone I love? You may not control the first thought that enters your mind, but you can decide whether it will control your next action.
