A meaningful thought
Many conversations are not true dialogues. One person is speaking while the other is already preparing a reply. In that moment, we hear the words but miss the feeling, the need, and what the person is struggling to express. Try pausing before defending, correcting, or advising. Ask, “Am I understanding correctly that this is what hurt you most?” People do not always need an immediate solution. Sometimes the greatest help is the feeling that someone has finally listened for real.
