It is easy to be attentive at beginnings, when we want to impress, listen, and make promises. Character often becomes clearer during endings. When leaving a job, friendship, or relationship, you do not have to burn every bridge. You can be honest without humiliating and finish without denying the past. Not every ending will be beautiful, but it can be dignified. The way you close a door also reveals who you are.
