A meaningful thought

During conflict, we often focus on proving that we are right and stop wondering what is happening inside the other person. The conversation becomes two defensive speeches instead of mutual understanding. Try asking instead of accusing: “What hurt you most?” “How did you understand what I said?” or “Which need felt unheard?” A question does not mean agreeing with everything. It helps reveal information that anger was hiding. Curiosity can become the small doorway through which two people return to solving the same problem together.
